COVID-19 Updates: Effective March 15, 2022

The Province has released new public health orders effective March 15, 2022. Please see below.

  • The Province will be lifting the mandatory mask requirement for indoor spaces.  South Winnipeg Community will also be suspending our mandatory mask policy to align with this current change.
  • SWCC strongly recommends individuals to continue to wear masks to reduce the possibility of COVID transmission, especially those who are at higher risk for severe outcomes related to infection.

Further the Province Recommends:

Public health continues to recommend people isolate in the following situations:

  • people with symptoms should stay home and isolate for five days after symptoms have improved over the past 24 hours
  • individuals who have tested positive but do not develop symptoms should isolate for five days from the date of the test:
  • individuals should wear a well-fitting, well-made mask if they must contact with other people while ill or when their isolation is finished for 10 days after the onset of symptoms or test date if asymptomatic.
