Softball

The Winnipeg South West Youth Softball Association (WSWYSA) purpose is to be a volunteer base body for administration and encouragement of Softball for all skills and age levels in the South/West area of the City of Winnipeg.

Softball programs for girls are offered for ages 8 to 19 years. Local community clubs coordinate the registration of players and WSWYSA organizes the league, games, umpires and playoffs.

For younger players there is the Learn to Play program which is designed for boys and girls aged 5-7 years old.

The softball season begins in March and April (depending on weather or availability of inside facilities) with the regular season games taking place during May and June.  Participants will have two games per week with most teams holding additional practices during the week.

League/Division playoffs are typically held in late June. For those teams that qualify, provincial playoffs commence in early July.
